Returns Policy and Right of Withdrawal

This policy applies to purchases of original artworks made remotely through this website and complies with Decree-Law No. 24/2014 of 14 February (Portugal), which transposes Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights.

1. Right of withdrawal (14-day period)

If you are a consumer residing in the European Union / European Economic Area, you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days, without giving any reason.

The period runs from the day on which the consumer, or a third party indicated by the consumer (other than the carrier), acquires physical possession of the artwork.

As we sell only original artworks (not personalised or made to the customer's specifications), the right of withdrawal applies in full.

2. How to exercise the right

To exercise this right, you must inform us of your decision unambiguously, before the deadline expires, through:

You may use the model withdrawal form below, although it is not mandatory. Notifying us within the deadline is sufficient for the right to be considered exercised in time.

3. Returning the artwork

After communicating your withdrawal, you must return the artwork within a maximum of 14 days. It must be returned in the same condition in which it was received, properly packaged to avoid damage in transit.

  • Return costs: unless stated otherwise, the direct costs of returning the artwork are borne by the consumer.

  • Packaging: we recommend using the original packaging or equivalent packaging that protects the artwork.

  • The consumer is liable for any diminished value of the artwork resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish its nature and characteristics.

4. Refund

We will refund all payments received, including standard delivery costs, within 14 days from the date we are informed of the decision to withdraw.

  • The refund is made using the same payment method used for the purchase, unless otherwise agreed.

  • We may withhold the refund until we receive the returned artwork, or until the consumer provides proof of having sent it back, whichever is earlier.

  • If the consumer chose a more expensive delivery method than the standard one, we are not required to refund the additional cost.

5. Legal guarantee of conformity

Regardless of the right of withdrawal, the artworks benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity provided for in Decree-Law No. 84/2021, with a duration of 3 years for movable goods purchased by consumers. If the artwork lacks conformity, the consumer is entitled to repair, replacement, price reduction or termination of the contract, in accordance with the law.

6. Artworks damaged in transit

If the artwork arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of receipt, attaching photographs of the product and the packaging, so we can resolve the situation.

7. Customers outside the European Union

The statutory 14-day right of withdrawal applies to EU/EEA consumers. For customers outside the EU, we offer the return conditions above as a commercial practice; the laws of the consumer's country may also apply. Shipping costs and any customs duties and import taxes on international orders are the customer's responsibility.

8. Alternative dispute resolution

In the event of a consumer dispute, the consumer may turn to alternative dispute resolution (ADR) bodies for consumer disputes. The list of consumer arbitration centres is available on the Portuguese Consumer Portal (www.consumidor.gov.pt).

Portuguese law applies. Consumers may resort to alternative dispute resolution through the consumer arbitration centres listed on the Portuguese Consumer Portal (www.consumidor.gov.pt).
