Acrylic on canvas · 60 × 80 cm · August 2026 · Original, one of a kind · Arcádia series
The golf course at São Lourenço, seen the way it stays in the mind rather than the way a camera would take it. Fairway, bunker, the dark line of the pines, and the water of the Ria Formosa cutting in from the left.
I have driven past this landscape for thirty years. Painting it meant deciding what to leave out. What survived is the sequence of greens, the one warm shape of sand, and the flat blue that says the lagoon is close.
